Quickstart¶
Steps after the Bytecode team has created your organization and added you as an administrator.
Step 1. Sign in¶
Open bcp.bytecode.team and click Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft — the one that matches the corporate email your organization uses.
You'll land in the dashboard.
Step 2. Add other users¶
Settings → Members → Add user — invite your colleagues by their corporate emails, assign them roles (Admin or User). See User Invitations.
Step 3. Run the first HIBP scan¶
HIBP works immediately, no configuration or API keys needed — nothing to buy or paste.
- Open Detection Services → HIBP.
- Click Run scan.
- In 1-2 minutes results appear in the dashboard: which corporate emails were leaked in known breaches, with severity and recommended actions.
Step 4. Connect GitHub (optional)¶
If you want to monitor secrets in your public repositories:
- Settings → Integrations → GitHub → Connect.
- Sign in with your personal GitHub account (or an organization account, if you have one).
- Pick which organizations / repos to monitor.
- First scan starts automatically.
Personal Access Tokens or App tokens — the platform sorts those out on its own. All you need to do is authorize.
Step 5. Connect Slack (optional)¶
For notifications and chat with the platform's bot:
- Settings → Integrations → Slack → Connect.
- Authorize the Slack workspace.
- Pick the channel where alerts should go.
- The bot joins the channel and can answer questions ("show critical findings", "status by GitHub" etc.).
Step 6. Set up automation¶
- Configure a scan schedule so scans run automatically.
- Configure notifications — Slack.
